Tax the Rich is a grassroots organiation that recognizes that votes not money makes the American system work and that distribution of wealth as well as the generation of wealth are the keystones to an effective society. Both socialism and capitalism offer intelligent systems for the generation and distiribution of wealth, but both have their weaknesses. Tax the rich seeks to combine the two systmes in an organization that seeks to respect both the rich and the poor and both the capitalistic and socialistic efforts through a system that neither kills the rich nor oppresses the poor. Tax the rich is an oranization that seeks to develop an econimic system that recognizes the needs of all classes and the realities of all workplace contributiions through a system that rewards all o effort, innovation, and skills background.
Tax the Rich is dedicated to the belief that the distribution of wealth in the U.S. can be done more fairly and more responsibly through an informed electorate focussed on tax laws that prevent excesses in that capitalist system which allows the rich to benefit to far too great a share in the wealth that is created by all of us. Without attacking capitalism, Tax the Rich seeks address difficulties in that economic system through advocating for tax laws that share the wealth according to effort and accomplishment rather than according to wealth or position.
